Saturday, we got up, had breakfast (again, Bisquick is our BFF), ran to Academy to pick out a tent. The tent was not for us, but was what Boy #3 wanted to get for his friend's birthday. We picked up the tent, ran home, wrapped that thing, hopped into the car and ran down the way to a party at the lake.
Party A:
Party A was at one of the other staff member's home on the lake. By on the lake, I mean ON THE LAKE. By ON THE LAKE, I don't mean one of those measly inlets, it was what the lake-folk call "on the BIG WATER". It was lovely. We were hanging out with a prospective new staff member and his family. They have something rare among our current staff...Girls! Of the staff members at the church, there are 14 'staff kids' and of those, only 2 are girls (and one is working on her Master's Degree at SWBS). So, we were all enamored!
From Party A, we ran like wild to Party B.
Party B:
We had stopped earlier and bought the tent for Party B. By tent, I mean PINK PRINCESS TENT. When we had received the invitation for the birthday party for the daughter of our Bisquick Buddies (See previous post), I asked Jeremiah what he would like to get her. He said, "A Tent". Simple as that, he knew what he wanted to get her. She turned 4, so we picked a Disney Princess pup-tent. Perfect. By the time that we were getting ready to leave, she had a tent in the middle of her bedroom.
After Party B, we had a nap and then took dinner to Grammy's house. We had barbeque and watched the boys play on the Slip-n-Slide. (Can I just say that thing is the most delightful sprinkler on the earth?)
Sunday:
Sunday was Sunday. Church...Larry got to baptize 5 people in the 3rd service...Mexican food for lunch...boys took a nap/Larry went back to church...boys got up/we went to Music Camp Musical!! The boys did great and looked so handsome in their dark blue music camp shirts and khaki shorts. After that, we stopped into the grocery store on the way home.
Sheesh! I'm still winded from that run of events!

I love that Jeremiah wanted to get her the tent, that's too cute! So much more unique and thoughtful than typical Barbies, games, and makeup. He's going to make some girl very happy someday with his unique gift giving!
