I am certain that this chapter will be dear to me forever, now that I have clung to it like our Gideon does the Pink Blanket. In fact, I am thinking that I could probably scrounge up the necessary funds to have the thing placed on a wall of the house in that awesome vinyl lettering that is currently so very fashionable. Perhaps...although my method of colored sticky-notes has been doing the trick quite nicely.
On Sunday, I willed myself to be able to get through the chapter without crying. I some how did it. My eyes welled up, my chin did that ugly quivering thing that it does...but, I did make it through without cracking out the hideous-cry-face. (Larry and I went to a lovely wedding several years ago, where the gorgeous bride gently pulled a lacey handkerchief out of her bouquet and so daintily blotted the tears on her cheek, then chin, then neck and then gracefully tucked the thing back in amongst her flowers. Not so at our wedding! My poor father had to walk a blubbering prune-faced bizarro down the aisle. I DON'T CRY GRACEFULLY!!!)
So, the young ladies of the West Conroe Youth group were spared the exposure to Mrs. Bizarro, but the lesson was very well received and I think that God made each of us tender for what He wanted us to hear that morning. Who is like Him?
We are still waiting for the MD Anderson Pathologists to review the biopsy from the procedure done at another hospital on June 24th. I should hear something soon. At least, that's what I have been told.
Please continue to pray for relief from the tension in my chest, for good rest, for wisdom for the doctors and for favor (with God and man)!

I love it when God reveals Himself to us through His word and Psalm 116 is a terrific verse especially vs 3 -5
3 The cords of death entangled me,
the anguish of the grave came upon me;
I was overcome by trouble and sorrow.
4 Then I called on the name of the LORD:
"O LORD, save me!"
5 The LORD is gracious and righteous;
our God is full of compassion.
Our Lord has done something that nothing or no one else can do He has conquered death both physical and spiritual, he delights when his people “call to Him” and he give us clear instruction in verse 4 of how we can conquer death also maybe not physical death but certainly spiritual death. “Call on the name of the Lord”. Romans 10:13 says 13for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
If you can’t understand what truth God has for you in Psalms 116 read John 3:16, John 10:10, Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, Romans 5:8, John 14:6, John 1:12, Ephesians 2:8-9, Revelation 3:20, Romans 10:9 and Romans 10:13.
Understanding God’s word comes from knowing the Savior.
I LOVE YOU COLLEEN
Larry
