Camp and Re-Camp

So, the first full week of June the family crammed every clean piece of clothes into every available bag and headed to youth camp.

Yee Haw! We were at Alto Frio Baptist Encampment from Monday (7th) through Saturday (12th). Larry stayed with the high school guys in a dorm (there was a seperate dorm with the junior high guys). Our little guys and I stayed in our usual cabin. I can't say exactly when cabin 232 became dear to my heart, but I truly do love it so! It used to be cinderblock grey throughout. However, a few years ago, I waddled in (great with child - Jeremiah) and found it painted the sweetest green, complete with sponge painting in the rooms and stencilling around the windows. Adorable. By my reaction, you would have thought that it was my own home on Extreme Makeover Home Edition. I was a blubbering mess. (Really, I still am!)

Youth camp went great. Our youth group had a wonderful and challenging time, with growth in several areas.

Our darlings, Joseph and Gideon, were baptized on Thursday, June 10th, in the Frio River. It was a precious time, one that was caught on video by the camp video guru, Goober. It was also photographed by Matt with Ornan's Floor. Sweet, sweet time...talk about being a blubbering mess!

Once we got home, I seemed to do an unending amount of laundry before packing myself back up to go to the Pineywoods Girls Camp, where I had the privilege of leading a large group Bible study for the week. Again, such a wonderful week. I did have a new camp experience (which is odd considering how many years I have been at camp, as student and sponsor). On Thursday night, we had to evacuate the pool due to poo! YIKES!

While I was gone, the boys were occupied with VBS at our church, as was their daddy! They seemed to have a marvelous time. This week, Joseph and Gideon are hanging out at Grammy's church for Sports Camp. Their little brother, Jeremiah, is devastatingly jealous...but, he seems to be enduring the hardship pretty well. I have tried to make each day a little different and exciting!

Needless to say, I am so glad to be at home now...in my own bed, in my own shower, with my own children and, of course, with my main man!

Much love to you all!
